The Cleveland Browns' struggling ground game is about to get a boost. The team officially activated rookie running back Quinshon Judkins, paving the way for his highly anticipated NFL debut in the Week 2 road matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.

Judkins' journey to the field has been anything but conventional. The second-round pick was absent from training camp and the preseason following a July arrest. However, after prosecutors determined a conviction was unlikely and declined to proceed with charges, Judkins was cleared to rejoin the team. This week marked his first time practicing with the Browns since minicamp, and he also met with the NFL as part of their investigation into a potential violation of the personal-conduct policy. With his game status now clear, the focus shifts to his on-field impact.

His debut comes at a critical time for the Browns' offense. In a disappointing Week 1 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, the team's rushing attack managed a meager 49 yards on 24 carries. This anemic performance highlights the immediate need for a player of Judkins' caliber. The 21-year-old, a former Ohio State standout, proved his ability to produce at a high level by rushing for over 1,000 yards in his lone season with the Buckeyes. Now, he's tasked with helping to ignite a ground game that looked stagnant in its season opener.

Facing a formidable Ravens defense in his first professional outing, Judkins will be under pressure to perform. His ability to hit the ground running could determine whether the Browns can turn their offensive fortunes around and secure a crucial divisional win. All eyes will be on the rookie running back as he looks to fulfill the expectations that came with being the 36th overall pick.
